GRACE FOR GOOD WORK

ID-100160855

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work ( 2 Corinthians 9:8).

The scripture above teaches us that the child of God is capable of receiving or collecting all grace from God. Grace is that which provides extra strength for a christian; grace is unmerited favour. As you receive or collect more grace, you get to the stage where you lack nothing- all things are made available to you for you to abound in good works. To abound in good works include helping to witness to more people, helping the less privilege, advancing in your carrier so you can bless more people, being a good spouse etc….. It is rather a blessing to be a child of God.

FROM SERVANTS TO FRIENDS…..

ID-100230554Henceforth I call you not servants: for the servant knoweth not what his Lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. John 15:15

What a privilege we now have in Jesus Christ; that we are no longer servants but friends of the Almighty. Further to this, we are also called sons of the Almighty- adopted sons to be specific. That is, God has given us all we need to function in His stead. Our responsibility is to discover our rights and responsibilities from the word of God and live in that realm. Praise God.

SOMETIMES, WE ARE TEMPTED TO DOUBT

ID-10072260

And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost (John 1:33).

When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another ? (Luke 7:20).

Sometimes, we are tempted to doubt the word of God or what God has said concerning our lives because of the challenges we may be going through. John the Baptist also experienced a similar situation evidenced by the scriptures above. John the Baptist had a vivid confirmation about Jesus as the messiah (John 1:33) but later had to send messengers to ask Jesus  if He is the messiah. Challenges may come our way as we walk with God but we have to keep our focus on what He has promised us and believe that no matter what may come our way, we will always win.  God’s promises are yes and amen. Sometimes, we miss our blessings ‘by inches’ because we doubted just after exercising our faith for so long a time.

GRACE FOR GRACE

ID-100223502

And of His fulness have all we received, and grace for grace (John 1:16)

Jesus was and is full of grace and truth (John 1:14) and this is awesome for the child of God. Any one who has Jesus Christ also is full of grace and truth because His word says that as He is, so are we in this world. Grace and truth is deposited in our spirit. How can we exercise this grace and truth that is in our spirit? We have to discover it through study of the word of God. As we study and meditate on the word, we receive insight into this grace and truth by the help of the Holy Spirit. Build a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit and the word of God and you will not regret doing so.
