Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid (Matthew 5:14).
As children of God, we are supposed to shine in our world. Why are we supposed to shine? It is simply because of our identity as stated in the opening scripture. We are the light of the world therefore we have the ability to shine and we must shine. That ability to shine is already deposited in our spirits so we can effortlessly shine in this world.
As light, we give direction and meaning to the world. As light, we are able to see deeper and expose the true nature of things. Light can be switched off and on. In other words, you can decide to exercise the ‘light ability’ in you are let it stay dormant. Being dormant is not the best for us because we have been instructed to let our light so shine before men, that they may see your good works…. (Matthew 5:16). Shining light always produces good works!
Demonstrate your good works to the world. Develop yourself in the word of God and in circular education and bless the world by identifying need(s) and solving them. The world will always celebrate excellent achievers because many challenges in this world are looking for solutions. Shine in your world. God bless you.
