DO NOT FOLLOW THE CROWD….

Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong Exodus 23:2 (NIV).

The crowd has more often than not assisted in bringing about positive changes in society! One can talk of demonstrations where a crowd of people hit the streets to protest. Sometime, these demonstrations are peaceful and therefore yield positive results. Some other times, these demonstrations are ‘rough’ and result in destruction of public and private property. Some elements of the crowd may also take advantage of the situation and do the wrong things such as breaking shops and looting items!

We are being admonished by the scripture above not to follow the crowd in doing wrong. It is for a just course, we are allowed to  join but we have to ensure that some elements do not take advantage of the situation to perpetuate evil or bad deeds.
