THE LORD CARES FOR HIS OWN 1
And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. (Genesis 2 : 8, 9).
Our Father Lord, from the beginning, has always demonstrated His unconditional love to us. By ‘us’, we mean the whole of mankind. In the Garden of Eden, He provided the needs of man (Adam and Eve). Naturally, we rest in gardens in order to get refreshed. From the creation of the first couple, we notice that gardens have always been a place of rest and refreshment. In the Garden of Eden, the Father gave man the highest place of authority among all His creation.
Everything was provided for man in the Garden of Eden. This included nourishment and quality relationship. Adam and Eve had no limitations on what trees to eat from except the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
The tempter appeared in the garden and coerced man to disobey the Father. This sin committed by the first couple led to a downward course for all creation. Man had changed but the Father remained unchanged.
The Father still loves mankind and through our Lord Jesus Christ, He provided even more than was available in the Garden of Eden. We must always remember that the Father will always receive us when we turn from our sinful ways to Him. Amen.
